The Sila Prize is a literary competition aimed at rebuilding a social fabric, a material and intellectual rebirth of Italy and Calabria that emerged from the WW IIr and the Fascist twenty years, through cultural paths that require attention, sensitivity and participation. Since its birth in 1949, the Sila Prize has always tried to offer an answer to the demand and need for reconstruction, including cultural reconstruction, that came from vast sectors of Calabrian society. A path of shared reading, cultural events, involvement of the school world, critical and proactive reflection on the complexity that surrounds us, starting from the best roots of our local specificity.
