Sturno is a town and comune in the province of Avellino, in the Campania region of southern Italy.
Geography
The town is bordered by Carife, Castel Baronia, Flumeri, Frigento and Rocca San Felice.
History
Sturno has been inhabited at least from the time of the Greeks in 800 BC and later became part of the Roman Empire.
Sturno is twinned with Glen Cove (USA).
Economy
The surrounding area is farmland under intense cultivation. The local farms are also known for breeding sheep and goats.
