The gallery is housed within the house of the fathers of the Oratory of San Filippo Blacks attached to the so-called church Girolami, one of the main monuments of the city, which keeps inside the fresco of the Expulsion of merchants from the Temple by Luca Giordano . The collection is arranged in some rooms next to the monumental cloister, is especially rich in works by artists of central Italy, such as Federico Zuccari and Cavalier d'Arpino and the Neapolitan school, as Jusepe de Ribera, Francesco Solimena and Batts Carracciolo.
