Museo etiope Guglielmo Massaia
Where
via Cardinale Guglielmo Massaia, 26, Frascati (Roma)
The museum is housed in the 16th century Capuchin Convent, decorated with frescoes by Girolamo Muziano (1528-1592). Rooms where Cardinal Guglielmo Massaia (1809-1886) spent the last ten years of his life, preserves the collection of weapons, ornaments, objects, costumes and documents collected during his long ministry in Ethiopia. This has been expanded by subsequent donations bearing witness to Italian colonialism in Ethiopia Worth noting is the layout, a rare intact example of a 19th century local museum.
