The history of the Yamaha racing motorcycles concentrated in a museum. With the opening of the private collection "Moto Poggi COMP", motorcycling enthusiasts can see the evolution of the race bikes of the Japanese House. Open in Villanova di Castenaso, in the province of Bologna, the exhibition includes media such as YDS-1R of 1959, many specimens of the famous "TZ" and the YZR 500 two stroke. Among the more than 60 vintage specimens exhibited are present also real memorabilia collectors such as, for example, a Yamaha YDS1R of 1959, a series of Yamaha TZ of different displacements (250, 350, 500 and 750) belonging to various epochs and built by Yamaha to give the possibility to private pilots to be competitive in the various national and world championships. The initiative, organized by the collector Pierluigi Poggi, gave much thought to the originality of the bikes. All are "preserved" or properly restored. This exceptional event Yamaha Factory Racing has set up a special exhibition of official GP motorcycle, carrying as many as 6 pieces of racing Yamaha modern (MotoGP and 500cc two-strokes). Among the motorcycles on display are also the M1 of Valentino Rossi (with the 2004 and 2005 versions) and Jorge Lorenzo (world champion with Yamaha in the MotoGP class in 2010), the current YZR-M1 2012 Andrea Dovizioso, Yamaha YZR 500 two stroke Garry McCoy and that of Norifumi Abe.
