Valmadrera (Lecco)
Valmadrera is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northeast of Milan and about 3 kilometres (2 mi) west of Lecco. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 11,126 and an area of 12.6 square kilometres (4.9 sq mi).
The municipality of Valmadrera contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Belvedere, Ceppo, Parè, San Dionigi, and Trebbia.
Valmadrera borders the following municipalities: Canzo, Civate, Galbiate, Lecco, Malgrate, Mandello del Lario, Valbrona.
