Via Montebello, 2, Stradella, (Pavia)
The institution founded as an archaeological and paleontological museum in 1979 could also have been described as a museum of the River Po, the source of its archaeological material, fossils and other items of scientific interest. It then expanded in 1987 as a more general museum of natural history with a permanent display of items illustrating the most salient natural aspects of the Oltrepò Pavese area. The tour begins with sections devoted to geology, botany, ecology and the environment and continues with a small anthropological section before ending with the room of palaeontology. The museum's activities include educational workshops, lectures, meetings with authors, shows, performances, guided visits, publications, research and seminars.
