Chiesa di Santa Maria della Sanità
The Church of Our Lady of Health is one of the most important and historic churches of the city, built in the oldest popular "Cona" district. The church is small in size: the facade is simple, bare; the sandstone portal is surmounted by a full arch, the central nave is rather large and high, with a barrel vault in which there is the great canvas depicting "L'incoronazione di Maria" by Cristoforo Santanna, Calabrian painter present in many cities in the region. Among the most important works, the wooden pulpit commonly called "Pulito di Don Giovanni", made by Rosario Biafora, in the art "Ottavio", and a 18th century still functioning.
