Parenti, small City nestled in the countryside of Cosenza and traditionally linked to the production of the potato - since 1980, the last Sunday of August is held famous "Potato Festival" - is also known for characteristic "Race of the Cart", which it usually takes place on the third Sunday of September. The competition was conceived by Pietro Rizzuto and Carmine Venneri in 1992, and gathers hundreds of enthusiasts every year. Based on its origins, Parenti offers visitors an exhibition of tools and testimonies of daily life and work in the fields at local Museum of Farming Arts.
