Mariano De Pasquale, an entrepreneur originally from Sicily, driven by a passion for history and a strong connection with the Pontine territory, was the creator and founder of the Museum of Piana delle Orme, dedicated to the twentieth century. The Museum is a journey through 50 years of Italian history: an exhibition area of over 30.000 square meters, documenting the traditions and culture of civilization, the great works of reclamation of the Pontine Marshes and the events of the Second World War through vehicles and tools in use at that time of great industrialization.
