Chiesa di San Paolo Apostolo
Work by architect Massimiliano Fuksas of 2009, the Church is a symbol of rebirth after the earthquake in Umbria-Marche in 1997, in fact, it rises in the area that had hosted a camp for the displaced container. The building is constructed primarily of reinforced concrete, such as a "box in the box": the result of the composition of two parallepipedi. The external volume, in appearance a monolithic concrete casting, is actually realized by means of an internal structure of concrete beams. It is accessed by a ramp at the entrance. Light enters from above. Presbytery and altar are placed at the center of the box inside.
