Formerly called Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza Trento and Trieste is the most important square in the city, as well as central heart of historic center. It was important to have represented the seat of many institutions such as Cathedral, Palace of the Reason, Oratory of San Crispino and New Theater. The peculiarity of the square lies in the 120 meter long and 12th wide sidewalk called "listone". The site today hosts the city market as well as numerous cultural events and walking stalls at certain times of the year.
