Monument to the Redeemer is located on the summit of St. julian Mount, which overlooks the city of Caltanissetta. Monumental pedestal contains in its interior a chapel which opens a square plant and then becomes circular. The project was given to architect Ernesto Basile, Giovan Battista Filippo Basile's son (architect of Massimo Theater in Palermo), in 1900. The statue of Redeemer arrived from Rome.
