Palazzo Moncada

It was built in 1651 by the will of Prince Luigi Guglielmo I Moncada. In 1778 the building became home to an orphanage, and after 1892 it housed the seat of Court of Appeal. In 1915 it was bought by Princess Maria Giovanna of Bauffremont, who armed it with a large hall as Art Nouveau Gallery for theater. In 1938 the building was purchased by Floresta Trigona family and adapted to the representation of motion pictures as "Cineteatro Trieste". In Baroque style with Renaissance influences, Palace has a quadrangular plant and is elevated on three levels. The front is incomplete.
