Calolziocorte (Lecco)
Calolziocorte is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northeast of Milan and about 6 kilometres (4 mi) southeast of Lecco. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 14,121 and an area of 9.0 square kilometres (3.5 sq mi).
The municipality of Calolziocorte contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Rossino, Lorentino, Sopracornola, Pascolo, Foppenico, and Sala.
Calolziocorte borders the following municipalities: Brivio, Carenno, Erve, Monte Marenzo, Olginate, Torre de' Busi, Vercurago.
Calolziocorte received the honorary title of city with a presidential decree on December 10, 2002.
It is served by Calolziocorte-Olginate railway station.
