The Civic Museum of Natural Sciences carries out conservation, research and teaching. Besides dealing with the enhancement of present collections, promoting events and initiatives aimed at the dissemination of the rich natural Brescia. There are collections of minerals, rooms dedicated to natural environments and prehistoric archeology and a section dedicated to the mountains, where you can live a fascinating virtual journey to know the Brescia area between the Adamello and Lake Garda. You can also appreciate the Observatory, the first public astronomical observatory in Italy, active since 1953.

Rooms of the museum: from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Sunday from 2.30 to 5.30 p.m.

Auditorium and conference room: from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Sunday from 2.30 to 5.30 p.m.

During the year, the museum is closed on the following days:

every Sunday from the third weekend from June to September 2; January 1, January 6, February 15, Easter Monday, April 25, May 1, June 2, August 15, November 1, December 8, December 25 , December 26. On 31 December, the museum closes at 3.00 p.m.
