The Risorgimento Museum was inaugurated in 2005 in the Castle of Brescia. The Museum exhibits portraits, memorabilia, proclamations, maps and prints that document the history of the Italian Risorgimento and patriotic movements for national unity. The exhibition is inspired by the "micro-history", narrating the events through objects of everyday use. Particular attention is given to the Republic of Brescia in 1797 and the Ten Days. The new layout provides space to a thematic path on the Battle of Solferino and San Martino, "The great battle, the immense hospital".
