MUSEO MINERARIO DI MONTEVECCHIO
Where
PIAZZA ROLANDI, Arbus (Medio Campidano)
The building is located at the end of the 40s, as seat of the "Geological Mining" of Montevecchio, the Italian Society of lead and zinc. Besides hosting the workshop of the Mine, the Museum was wanted by the Company for didactic-museum exhibition of the numerous samples of minerals from deposits in the area and from other sites, and for the preparation of geological maps and plans of mines. Over time, it has increased the number of samples from various Italian places. Renovated in 2004, the Museum is accessible to visitors and is divided into three sections: everyday objects, archaeological and traditional Sardinian jewelry.
