Museo nazionale paleocristiano di Aquileia
Early Christian Museum was inaugurated in 1961 and was named after Franco Marinotti, patron who had contributed to the recovery of the building that houses it: built as early Christian church to the north-eastern outskirts of the city, then become a Benedictine monastery, passed in the property of several families of Aquileia, to be designated as the seat of the private collections of antiquities. The ground floor is occupied almost entirely by the mosaic floor with geometric design from the original Bbasilica; they are also exposed many artifacts from others Christian buildings of Aquileia, that no longer exist, among which the great mosaic floor of the Basilica fund Tullio alla Beligna. The largest group is represented by the early Christian funerary inscriptions, which give a composite picture of the society of the fourth and fifth centuries AD. In addition, there are exhibits of sculptures dating to the early Medieval era.
