A first wooden bridge was put in place during the construction of Via Postumia, in 148 BC. Long life of this monument was, however, very troubled and marked by several destructions and reconstructions. Current bridge, 92,80 meters long, consists of five arches. The shoulder and the two arches towards the country date back to Roman times, the tower and the arch to Scala era, while the remaining two arches with the big round central are Venetian period. The Roman part consists of large stone blocks, while the Scala and Veneto is in cooked.
