Delimits to the north Gulf of Noto and is dominated by a militar lighthouse. It stands on a hill overlooking the sea that offers a picturesque view. The stretch of sea in front of Capo Murro di Porco is part of Plemmirio Marine Protected Area. During the Second World War, the submarine FR 111, returning from a transport mission from Lampedusa, was spotted and attacked by three bombers and sank quickly. They died the commander Celeste with four other officers and 18 crew members. In 1941, 10 miles from the Cape, was also sunk Italian liner "Conte Rosso".
