Building was built in 1397 at the behest of Macciotta Mergulese, as said Latin inscription placed above the entrance. In 1837, at the time of cholera, Palace was home to a temporary hospital and in 1854 of "Daughters of Charity". The building is in Gothic-Chiaramonte style. The facade open a three-mullioned window, a mullioned window and a simple lancet. In the first order there is a Chiaramonte portal surmounted by a niche containing marble slab. The interior features an atrium with staircase and a porch with outdoor loggia.
