Museo etnografico della civiltà contadina
The ethnographical museum of Ponte in Valtellina is located at the ground-floor level of the building in Sant'Ignazio street that was built and used by the Gesuits during the 17th and 18th century and where now is based the middle school of the village. Since 1970s, were collected many elements of the rural life in order to preserve historical and cultural heritage that otherwise was likely to get lost. Through its rooms, the museum shows the every day life of a rural village of the past. The itinerary of the museum presents the rural life not only during the work in the fields, but also at home, in the different months of the year. In the rooms of the museum there's the exposition of the implements used for the milk processing, the preparation and the sowing of the fields, the haymaking, the reaping and the threshing, the wine processing, the spinning and the weaving. All the structure has been fitted out paying attention to the cyclicity of the agricultural work.
