The Church of Santa Maria della Steccata from 1718 is the official seat of the knights of the Constantinian Order of St. George. This glorious order traces its ancient origins of the militia that the Emperor Constantine created to defend the banner bearing the insignia of the cross after his victory over Maxentius at the Milvian Bridge (312). The impressive building, caretaker of the work of Parmigianino "the Wise Virgins and the Foolish Virgins", you access other areas that are home to the Museum of Constantine.
