Museo diocesano di Parma
The rooms of the museum collect testimonies and artefacts found during excavations and surveys that have allowed us to reconstruct the origins of the Cathedral between Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages. The exhibition consists of illustrative panels, graphic reconstructions, casts of inscriptions and archaeological finds, among which are a lamp and early Christian sarcophagus with a bas-reliefs, ceramics, coins and mosaics. The environments are also kept figurative works, documentary and sacred jewelry. Arranged in place is also the angel in golden copper originally placed on the cusp of the Cathedral.
