Historic Salt Mine which is a part of the most important mines in Europe. It was known by the Greek colonies of Sibari and Thurij and then by the Romans of Copia. Sybaritic both the Romans and the Normans, during their stay in Calabria, structured with shaping a thriving trade of rock salt, transported by donkey along a mountain trail called "Salaria" or Via Del Sale.
