Where
Largo Coppola, Altomonte (Cosenza)
It's an imposing fortified quadrilateral, built probably in the twelfth century. It takes its name from Pallotta family, lords of Brahalla, Saracen ancient name of Altomonte, to whom belonged to the second half of the thirteenth century and the beginning of the fifteenth century. Of Norman foundation, the Tower reveals various stages of construction, as evidenced by the fine window on the second level. Restored in 1991, ìt's now used as museal venue of the calabrian artist, Franco Azzinari.
