Cardo of Renaissance urban plant, it crosses the city lengthwise from Luminosa Fountain to Piazza del Duomo, flanked for a long stretch by arcades and entirely pedestrian area. Overall the road has a length of about 800 meters in which it laps some of the most interesting architecture of the capital. Due to its different characteristics in the northern part, up to Four Cantons, (narrow and without portico) and southern (wider and portico) it is common to distinguish the two sections with the names "Corso stretto" and "Corso largo".
