Teatro Valente

Via Dei Cinquecento, 59, Corigliano Calabro, (Cosenza) Tempo di lettura: meno di 1 minuto

Valente Theatre is incorporated in the premises of Church of the Reformation, consecrated in 1686 to St. Mary of Constantinople with adjacent Convent of Reformed Fathers. The interior of the church has a single nave with four chapels on the right and preserves a seventeenth-century crucifix attributed to Brother Umile Pintorno from Petralia and the painting of Our Lady of Constantinople by Luigi Medolla. Adjacent areas are home to former Cinema, today Valente Theatre, dating back to 1930 and restored in the 90's. Theater still faces Cloister, where once opened the prisons, currently used as exhibition space.
