Piazza Carlo III, Caserta
Named after King of Naples who built Royal Palace, Square is among the largest in Europe. It consists of a huge green area flanked by two semicircles for the servants. In recent years it has undergone a long restoration, in order to get it back to original design by Vanvitelli: there was a reorganization of the green and lighting and has been pedestrianized. At the end of 2009 it was inaugurated in a solemn ceremony.
