Acri

Acri, (Cosenza) Tempo di lettura: meno di 1 minuto

The origin of the early urban settlements of Acri dates back to the Bronze Age. It is located near the eastern boundary of Silano plateau and suffered due to the lack of communication channels with the main centers of plain areas. The city gave birth to the Blessed Angelo of Acre, which is called the Basilica in the Cappuccini district, from the order of the friars who live in the neighboring convent. It was also the home of writer Vincenzo Padula, a man of culture and author of works in Vernacolo and in Italian.
