MUSEO DI ARTIGIANATO LOCALE
The Museum of Local Crafts consists of over 2000 wooden artefacts, by Giuseppe Di Trani and his son John between 1967 and 1984, donated to the Archbishopric of Acerenza. The works are exhibited in some areas of the St. Antony's Convent, which dates back to the second half of the sixteenth century. It is a collection of carved wood, mainly in reference to the agricultural and pastoral (collars for cattle, sheep and goats, handles, sticks, etc.) and domestic use (brands of bread, spoons, fortresses, detonators frame, etc.), in addition to ornaments from many types, with plant motifs, zoomorphic and representations of characters belonging to the community of Montescaglioso, Giuseppe Di Trani's birthplace.
