Reggia di Venaria Reale (Sito UNESCO)
Venaria Reale, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located at the center of the circuit of Royal Residences of Piedmont and is connected to Royal Pole and the museum system of Turin. La Venaria Reale is not a "museum", but a "Palace for the contemporaries": a great space and an unmissable opportunity dedicated to pleasure, to the joy of living, which combines historical aspects, the desires and the entertainment needs of all. Almost every day at Venaria concerts, shows, performances, cultural and entertainment activities alternate, involving every kind of audience in an amazing space that seems to be amplified with surprises and continuous references. Monumental building, measuring 110,000 square meters, boasts some of the highest expressions of universal Baroque: the enchanting scenery of Diana Salon designed by Amedeo di Castellamonte, the solemnity of Galleria Grande and Cappella di Sant'Uberto with the 'immense complex of Scuderie Juvarriane, eighteenth-century works of Filippo Juvarra, sumptuous decorations together with the suggestive setting on the court life of Peter Greenaway, represent the ideal setting of Theater of History and Magnificence, the exhibition dedicated to Savoy accompanying the long visitor almost 2,000 meters, between the basement and the main floor of Royal Palace. Seen from the top, Reggia with its Gardens draws an area of 950,000 square meters of undivided architecture and parks around it. It is the pivot from which the large complex of Juvarriane Stables, Conservation and Restoration Center, and Historic Center of the City , Borgo Castello and Cascina Rubbianetta, in a horizon of woods and castles that is lost in the green of nearby La Mandria Park.
