APMP was founded in 1979 by the merger of two groups of Turin, the Group Mineralogical Piemontese (active since 1968) and the Mineralogical Club Torinese (existing since 1969). Since the '90s, he joined the Group Mineralogical Grugliaschese while, for some years, it has developed in collaboration with the Section of Mineralogy of the Activity Centres FIAT. Mergers and collaborations have increased the association, which has become the most important in the municipal and regional level. These factors have led to a better account of itself at the institutional bodies, which have awarded adapted to local needs grow. In its place the APMP has a Meeting Room where the members meet every Thursday evening, a room in which Paleontological is an exhibition of fossils with those of the Piedmontese accent, an exhibition of more than 100 shows for the square meters that periodically exhibits educational exhibits, a Hall Museum & Education which collects systematic collection of minerals and which is also adapted to Conference Room, a room equipped with optical microscopes for observing micromounts and a library full of books and magazines that can be accessed by the members.
