Antiquarium e mura di Via del Seminario
Where
Via del Seminario, Trieste
Antiquarium is a visible part of the Late Republicane walls, wanted by Octavian in 33-32 BC to defend the colony of Tergeste, perched on top of the hill of San Giusto. The hanging is crossed to the base by a channel for the flow of water coming from the side of the hill. At the beginning of the second century AD the walls, now defunctionalized, serve as a containment structure and terracing for buildings constructed upstream: here, it can see a hot paved in brick, probably used in oil processing.
