Riserva Naturale "I Giganti di Gallopane"

Biogenetic Gallopane Nature Reserve is a monumental forest made up of so-called "Gallopane Giants", fir trees, larch and pine trees, with luxuriant undergrowth. Curious to observe, the grooved channels along the trunks, from which, from ancient times, the resin was used as insulation and torch fuel was obtained. In recent times, however, it was extracted from turpentine essence, used in the paint industry as a diluent.
