Fontana di Santo Marco (detta di Sichelgaita)
It was modified over the centuries on a number of occasions, but today presents its sixteenth century appearance. The waterway and part of the frontal sculptural decorations are all that remain of its Norman heritage. Today it is late 16th century in style, featuring sculptural decorations on the façade. According to a recent tradition, of the three Caryatids at the top of the monument, the one on the left represents Sikelgaita, Guiscard's second wife, whereas the one on the right is Alberada, the Norman Duke's first spouse and mother of Mark Bohemond.
