On Boscovich Square stands the eighteenth-century lighthouse that overlooks Porto Canale, old mouth of Marecchia river. The arbor is favorite destination of Rimini for a walk, as well as home to fish for clams ("poveracce"). On the opposite side develops Marina of Rimini, with new dock opened in 2002. The promenade in the direction of Riccione is the main axis of the seaside settlements.
