Chiesa di San Martino
The parish church, dedicated to Saint Martin of Tours, is located in the oldest village of Portofino and its construction seems to date back to the XII century, in Romanesque Lombard style, as well as Church of San Giorgio. The church was revised in several alterations in the course of the nineteenth century, as it appears at present. Inside are preserved several paintings and sculptures such as a wooden group depicting Deposition of Christ, by Genoese sculptor Anton Maria Maragliano, the painting of Madonna del Rosario, an unknown painter, the eighteenth century, the eighteenth century Annunciation and a painting depicting the saints Rocco, Sebastiano and Pantaleo, by a 16th century Ligurian painter.
