Portofino

Portofino is considered one of the most characteristic and picturesque seaside villages in the world. The entire territory is included in Regional Park of Portofino, which can be visited through a series of equipped trails, and in Portofino Marine Protected Area. To visit, Church of San Martino, near the ancient village, and Church of San Giorgio, outside the village, in a dominant position; Hermitage of Sant'Antonio di Niasca, in the homonymous locality; Brown Castle, formerly of St. George, from the 16th century; Battery of Punta Chiappa, a coastal defensive complex of Royal Army, built in the late '30s. In the 90s the village was the set for some film and soap opera scenes.
