Petronà is located at the foot of Mount Femminamorta. It is surrounded by mountains and the woodland has always been an inexhaustible source for local economy, in fact this area is particularly well-known for the abundant growth of mushrooms, especially the porcini. Its birth dates back to the late 700's and its original name was Petrania.
