It built in the late twelfth century and dedicated to the Patron Saint of the city. In 1542, following the construction and consequent building of the Rocca Paolina, it was decided to pull down the upper church. In 1591, after a period of neglect, he worked for the restoration and for the re-appropriation of identity. In 1607, the building was entrusted to Barnabites, through which it was possible to reopen for worship and the transfer of the relics of the Saint. The architecture is characterized by a central octagonal, with two superimposed chapels. On the bell tower is exposed at the clock.
