Palazzo Napolino-Tommasi Rosso
Where
Corso Crispi, Modica (Ragusa)
It is situated behind Cathedral and is among the most significant evidence of late-Baroque Modica. Its construction dates back to the second half of the eighteenth century, by Lorefice, then passed to Napolino and finally to Rosso-Tommasi family. The facade features a beautiful portal, whose columns at the sides let down curtains set in stone, emerging from the mouth of two lions. The portal is surmounted by a wrought-iron balcony supported by corbels decorated with masks. Two other balconies are placed symmetrically to complete the facade.
