Laguna del Mort is a lagoon Adriatic coast, north-east of Venetian Lagoon. It covers about 125 hectares and its clayey-sandy shores (coastal dunes, bumps and maritime pine groves) are populated by fauna and flora peculiar to coastal wetlands. In 2003, the peninsula that separates Mort Lagoon from the sea, together with its beach, has been declared by Legambiente one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, also known as "Site of Community Interest".
