Palazzo Salfi
The building was built between 1902 and 1932 in Pompeian style by the painter Enrico Salfi return to Cosenza from Naples, inspired by the house of the Tragic Poet, of which he himself had made a model now on display at the Bosco reale Antiquarium. The building has been recently renovated respecting and protecting its historical and architectural values, thus creating an intimate marriage of old and new: the works of art made of fragments of Pompeian mosaics, decorated grit floors, glass chandeliers and unique items, authentic works of Enrico Salfi. The square in front, however, has been enriched with modern art works by Maurizio Orrico and Mimmo Paladino.
