Museo Civico Archeologico

The Museum is located in Porti Palace, building specially bought by the municipality of Cirò Marina in 1981. It has two floors and include both material recovered from the early '70s by local Archeoclub, either finds the object of systematic excavations, in particular ceramics objects and various metals of late Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic period from the Apollonion area and coming from the territories of Cirò and Cirò Marina, where they insist the remains of Krimisa, founded, according to myth, from Philoctetes friend of Ulysses. On the first floor, an interesting photographic exhibition on the results of research carried out in the Calabrian seabed in the last thirty years.
