Among the symbols of the city, it was built in 1962 by architect Riccardo Morandi. At the time of its construction was the second bridge in the world in size, single arched in reinforced concrete. The arch consisting of two independent semi-arches and has a large box-like structure, with a rib 120 m high, resistant to gusts of wind above 140 km/h. Today is the second Bridge in Europe for height and is, in size and features, a real monument of engineering, among the most famous in the world identifying elements of Calabria.
