The recovery of the remains and the formation of the museum
Wednesday, June 27, 2007, on the occasion of the twenty-seventh anniversary of the disaster, the museum was opened and the remains of the plane - recovered, transported and reassembled in the wide spaces of the former warehouses ATC, renovated by the architect Giampaolo Mazzucato for work - are offered to the public in 'permanent installation artist Christian Boltanski.
The museum was created by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, Ministry of Justice, Emilia-Romagna, Province of Bologna, Bologna Municipality; the will? Association of Relatives of the Victims of the Massacre of Ustica and the contribution of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Bologna.
