Parco Comunale del Farneto G. De Rosa
Ancient forest hunting of the feudal lords of Altomonte, is today a wooded area of approximately 180 hectares covered with lush vegetation of oaks trees, within which is housed an artificial lake that covers about eight acres of park between the basin, facilities for sport fishing (competitions are held during the year) and areas for picnics and barbecues. Among the fauna, game and birds that stop on the small body of water populated with carp and chub: ducks, mallards, herons, hawks, and pheasants; also spread foxes, weasels, wild boars, porcupines, hedgehogs, weasels. The forest is full of mushrooms and wild asparagus.
