The building is located on the site of the St. Peter's Church at Ripas, which was donated in 1295 by the Bishop to the Chapter of the Franciscans to build their home. Although strongly it altered by numerous interventions, still preserves Medieval parts. The facade has no architectural details; inside, the cloister with a double row of pillars, is ruined by the closure of the arches. It was the seat of the "Affatigati Academy", literary tropean institution of 1400 operates up to the 800. Used as a district prison, it is currently used as High School.
